XDP Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor (EGT)

2017–2022 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke

Monitor exhaust gas temperatures with this replacement EGT sensor designed for 2017–2022 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke applications. This sensor can be used with a block-off plate setup to provide an EGT reading through the factory EGT1 PID when installed correctly.

Installation Instructions

1. Install the EGT sensor into the block-off plate that came with your DPF system. Use the EGT sensor supplied for the DPF system.
2. Connect the sensor to the factory connector where the original EGR exhaust temperature probe was connected.
3. The factory EGR probe connection point is located in the center of the engine, above the vacuum pump.
4. Access to the connector can be difficult. Removing the intake tubing may provide additional access to the area.
5. Once connected, the sensor temperature can be monitored through the truck’s EGT1 PID.
6. Secure the sensor wiring away from the serpentine belt and other moving components to prevent damage to the wiring or sensor.

Important

The DPF EGT sensor and the original EGR temperature sensor are different sensors. For this setup, use the DPF EGT sensor and connect it to the location where the original EGR probe was connected.
